A high-detail, scientific illustration painted in watercolour. The Roach (rutilus rutilus) is a freshwater fish of the Carp family, and one of the most common fish found in lakes and rivers, gathering in large shoals. The original drawing was produced from my own photos and research, helping to create an accurate study of the fishes’ anatomy.
