ABOUT THE SEA TURTLE
The green sea turtle is a large hard-shelled sea turtle and are unique in that they are herbivores, eating mostly algae seagrasses. This diet is what gives their fat a greenish colour, which is where their name comes from, not from their outer shell. It is found throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, but is also found in the Indian Ocean.
