ABOUT GODREVY
Godrevy Lighthouse in Cornwall was built in 1859 to mark a dangerous reef off St Ives Bay called The Stones, which had been a hazard to shipping for centuries. The lighthouse is a 26 metre white octagonal tower, and is made of rubble stone bedded in mortar. It is situated almost in the centre of the Stones island and was originally provided with cottages for the keepers.
