I started painting as a commercial artist & illustrator way back in the mid 1980’s. After studying Scientific Illustration at Middlesex Uni, London, I worked as a freelancer in all areas of Advertising, Packaging and Publishing.
As an illustrator, I painted a wide range of topics over the years – from detailed illustrations for publishing, stylised art for advertising, and realistic fruit & food paintings for packaging. My preferred field was wildlife, which I also studied and had a passion for, producing work for numerous books, magazines, stamps and scientific journals.
Around 2003, I opted to have a break from illustration, and re-trained to start a new career as a Web Designer, later going on to setup a successful web company.
After 16 years of working in the web industry and running a business, I left last year to start painting again. Now living in Cornwall, I am working on a range of new work, including skies, seascapes, landscapes, and wildlife. See a selection of my artwork in the Gallery.
