ABOUT THE ORCA
Orcas, also known as killer whales, are toothed whales and the largest member of the oceanic dolphin family. It is recognizable by its distinct colouring, being mostly black on top, white on the bottom and white eye patches. They are apex predators with a diverse diet, including bony fish, seals, dolphins, and other whales. They are highly social, with populations forming stable family groups (pods). My original painting in acrylics, is available as a fine art print, and shows an orca emerging from the sea.
