On the Easel
I've started a new collection of large scale wildlife illustrations, one of which includes this green sea turtle.
After several sketches, this is part of the final drawing in 005 Micron pen on tracing paper. I will transfer the image onto the watercolour paper using a lightbox, which allows me to achieve a fine line pencil drawing ready for painting.
I use 300gsm Fabriano Artistico HP paper, which is stretched by wetting and attaching to a board with gum strip, ready for painting with Liquitex acrylic paints.
